The person behind the studio

Hi, I'm Breydan.

A production support engineer who keeps finding things worth building. Breydan Studio is the home for that independent work.

Hand-drawn portrait of Breydan Tan

It starts with understanding the system.

My professional background is supporting enterprise banking and loyalty products across SIT, UAT, and production. That means SQL and log investigations, API behaviour, issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, release verification, and conversations with customers and engineering teams.

Working close to production changes the questions you ask. What happens when an integration fails? Can someone trace the evidence? Is the next step clear to the person using the system?

I carry those questions into my own web and AI products. The studio is just me, Breydan Tan, bringing product ideas into working interfaces and learning from the details along the way.

Three ways of exploring that.

Personal products, separate from my employed delivery work.

TradeoffMap

Production support taught me to distinguish a request being sent from a result being confirmed. TradeoffMap turns that habit into learning experiences where state, failure, and recovery can be inspected.

A bilingual learning product that connects system-design problems to concept routes, playable failure-and-recovery experiments, editable capacity estimates, and targeted review exercises.

ReadSmart

Good RCA depends on being able to trace a statement back to evidence. ReadSmart applies that instinct to technical reading: inspect the explanation, inspect its support, and keep uncertainty visible.

A technical-topic reader that connects continuous reading, recursive knowledge maps, and source references. Move from a source to the cards it supports, then explore a linked subtopic without losing the wider context.

Claw2Agent

Supporting production systems made me care about what happens after a create request: ownership, readiness, timeouts, recovery, and a clear handoff. Claw2Agent is where I apply those concerns to a personal full-stack product.

A personal product for managed OpenClaw setup and runtime management. Its implementation connects guided configuration, Telegram validation, entitlement checks, protected access, and recovery paths rather than stopping at a server-created message.

The professional chapter.

Banking support experience that informs my practice. These are employment roles, not studio case studies.

How I like to work.

A specific problem, clear access boundaries, a working result, and a useful handoff. I'm interested in focused web development, API integration, internal tools, and fixes where careful investigation matters as much as the implementation.
